Wills, Probate and Trusts
Smith Solicitor LLP has extensive experience in looking after assets and advising clients to suit their specific circumstance. We advise that all adults should make a Will to ensure that their wishes are met and that there is a fair distribution of assets.
It is also important to make a Will as many people do not realise how low the Inheritance Tax Threshold is. If you do not make a Will (“dying intestate”) your assets will be divided in accordance with the law, regardless of your intentions. The Law relating to intestacy does not recognise common law spouses or step children. It can also be surprisingly ungenerous to spouses.
We can structure your Will to suit your needs. We provide a full and efficient service in relation to administration of estates and aim to deal with matters smoothly in your difficult time.
Our services include:
- Preparation of Will and Mirror Wills
- Amendments, updates and advice on existing Wills
- Probate and Administration of Estates.
- Deeds of Variation
- Creation and Administration of Trusts
- Preparation of Powers of Attorney
We offer competitive rates of service. We do not offer advice on tax planning.
